The first step in the process is to assess the situation. Our staff will carefully inspect your rug and inventory any damage or wear they see on the rug. We will pre-test our cleaning solution with the rug to make sure the correct Ph is used during the cleaning process. By making sure the cleaning solution is set to the right Ph, the dyes will remain set in the fiber and there will be no color run during the cleaning.
The second step is to dust the rug to remove loose dust. This can be done with a dusting machine or compressed air.
Third, we place the run in a cleaning pool with the selected cleaning solution. Our staff will hand cleaning the rug with a soft brush to make sure the cleaner reached down into the pile and removes dust, stains and odors from the rug.
Then we rinse the rug and place it in our spin drying machine. Our spin dryer will remove almost all the water in the rug. Because the silk is only wet for a short time, it will not stretch. Companies without our experience and technology will just hang the rug filled with water and this can cause it to stretch. After we spin dry the rug it almost free of water and so is not heavy. Once the spin drying is done we place the rug in our dehumidifier room to speed the drying.
Finally, when the drying is done, we vacuum and brush the rug. Then we inspect the rug to make sure that is cleaned according to our high standards. Once we are satisfied, we wrap the rug and call you to send up a free delivery time that you find convenient.
