Needlepoint Rugs Are Works of Art

Needlepoint rugs are timeless, work of art, and look beautiful in any home. Hand-stitched needlepoint rugs feature intricate patterns and colors to complement any decor.

Although needlepoint rugs look delicate, they’re durable and designed to last for years, but they require special care.

Green Choice offers professional rug cleaning and repairs.

Our High-Quality Cleaning Services

We provide exceptional service to ensure that your needlepoint rug looks fresh and new.

We clean your needlepoint rug at our rug cleaning factory using the finest rug cleaning machines in the industry, and staff of rug cleaning experts.

Our full service ensures that your needlepoint rug gets excellent care during every step of the process.
Our rug cleaning process consists of using dusting machines, soaking the rug, removing spots and stains, and drying the rug.

Pre-Inspection of Your Needlepoint Area Rug

A pre-inspection of your needlepoint rug is more professional than getting a general quote. It allows the customer to explain about stains or spots in the rug and how they’d like the rug to be cleaned. It gives our licensed technician the opportunity to inspect the rug.

The area rug professional can make recommendations about the most effective ways of cleaning the rug.

If there are any imperfections in the rug that the cleaning company should not be responsible for, they can be pointed out during the inspection.

Dusting Process of Rugs

Dusting is the most important step in rug cleaning because all the dirt and dust embedded in the rug must be removed before the cleaning process.

Dust and dirt embedded in a rug can break down the fibers and cause damage.

Even though you vacuum your rug, it needs professional dusting at least every year. Professional dusting helps to prevent the colors from fading.

We have the most professional and high-quality dusting machines.

Hand Cleaning Method

The method used to clean your area rug in our cleaning facility in NYC depends on the pre-inspection and how colorfast the rug is.

Extraction or hand-cleaning is for rugs that aren’t as colorfast as others. A cleaning head has a mixture of water and cleaning solutions which are sprayed deep into the fibers of the rug.

The cleaning head has a vacuum attachment which sucks up the moisture each time the cleaning head is passed over the rug.

This process can be done as many times as is necessary to remove stains and dirt.

A fresh mist rinses the rug.

Drying the Rug

Most rugs can hang dry, but if you own a hand-stitched, needlepoint rug, the preferred method may be flat drying. The drying process, that’s used depends on the method used to clean the rug and the materials from which it’s made. Our hang drying process consists of hanging the rug on a drying rack and using fans to circulate the air. Flat drying the rug with fans passing the air over and underneath it, is the preferred method when the rug may stretch or shrink.
